The Support Cable supports your boom from a central point on boom.  This relieves the stress at the rod butt of the Ledge Logic Boom.  Do not use a Ledge Logic Boom without a support cable. Purchase one. from us or even make your own but you must support the boom with a rope up to your stringer cleat or bow cleat.
